The Rebecca Mayfield Mysteries
A determined homicide inspector. A man who lives by his own rules. And a relationship neither of them saw coming.
Rebecca Mayfield has worked her way up through the ranks of the San Francisco Police Department to become a homicide inspector—and she's earned a reputation for being tough, persistent, and by the book. She doesn't give up on a case, doesn't cut corners, and doesn't let personal feelings interfere with her work.
Then Richie Amalfi enters her life.
Richie grew up poor and lost his father at a young age, but over the years he's built considerable wealth—and an even more considerable network of connections. He knows people in every corner of the city, including some Rebecca would rather not know. His reputation makes her suspicious, his methods don't always follow the rules, and she isn't sure she can trust a man she understands so little.
For all their differences—and despite every reason they should keep their distance—as Rebecca investigates one dangerous case after another, she and Richie find themselves drawn to each other in ways neither can easily explain or resist. The Rebecca Mayfield Mysteries is a continuing series of San Francisco crime, dangerous secrets, and a romance that refuses to stay simple.
